Antonio Conte’s return to Chelsea will be filled with elation and surprises, just as all Hotspur fans would want it. The 52 years old Italian manager won the Premier League title in his first year as the manager of Chelsea Football Club. He brought in some key players that made his reign at Stamford Bridge very monumental and established many of the exciting key players.
Conte’s reign at Chelsea Football Club did not end on a good note as he fell out with many of his important players including the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa. It somehow left his campaign with some endnotes of disappointment and awful sentiments.
After what looks like glorious years at Inter Milan, Conte is back at Tottenham Hotspur and is in charge of the highly ranked Premier League team. The 52-year-old has enjoyed a bright start in North London, with just one defeat in his first 11 games, and is now preparing to take Tottenham to Chelsea for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday, making the headline ahead of his anticipated match against Chelsea Football Club would be how he’d be playing against his erstwhile striker, Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku is one of the players that enjoyed extraordinary recognition and love in Inter Milan, he was also very instrumental to Conte’s Seria A glory in his second season at Inter.
Antonio Conte’s return to Chelsea will not prompt pressure on the Italian, Conte insisted that he is looking forward to being back at Stamford Bridge, but it’d just be like every other match. He insisted: “I think in my position, I mustn’t prove anything to anyone.
“I am a manager with experience and I have continued to do an important job in other teams.”
Chelsea may not field Lukaku as the club is yet to issue any official statement concerning his outbursts during an interview bashing the tactical prowess of Thomas Tuchel. The striker has been however talking about moving back to Inter Milan. To that, there has not been any official statement as well.
