Are black people more athletic for Football than other races? This is the question that has not been given a complete answer.
It’s hard to talk about sports without really thinking of some black-skinned achievers in different sporting activities. Well enough… There are many great players that have existed beforehand and have had lots of influence on sports, irrespective of their race and skin color.
There has been a great contention on which race actually has the higher number of athletic persons. While we say that the whites have been favored to see many great athletes in various sports especially boxing, cycling, racing, golf, and football, many others of the black race have also made great contributions during their time too.
There have been great boxers like Willie Pep, Rocky Marciano, Roberto Duran, Harry Greb, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Julior Cesar Chavez, Oscar De La Hoya, Wladimir Klitschko, and Joe Calzaghe.
Can we really talk about golf without Wood?
Well, we’ll be basing our judgments on football. Soccer stars are more known to Sportytabs and its fans.
The world has witnessed various wonderful footballers ranging from the old age of Pele, Delima Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and presently Neymar. These players represented very well in football and are seen as elites, talking of Southern America, Lionel Messi, Maradona, Cavani, Diego Forlan, and many others had an outstanding football career, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard Kelvin Debruyne, Honda, Romelu Lukaku, Xavi, Iniesta, Fernando Torres, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, Oliver Kahn, Pochetino, Fabrigas, Alonso, David Villa, Carlos Puyol, Arjen Robben, Frank Ribery, Malouda, Benzema and Lioris have also been outstanding players from Europe.

- Newcastle United and Manchester United are reportedly in for Moussa Dembele
Counting the names will involve innumerable numbers, many great players have scribbled their names in the long list of outstanding players, most black players who have been able to achieve legendary statuses played for Africa, many of them are still playing. The likes of Mikel Obi, Samuel Eto’o, Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Adebayor, Vincent Enyama, Samuel Yobo, Omokachi, Ahmed Musa, Bansi, Mane, Aubemayaeng, and other black players who have been representing across the African continents and for different other countries.
To fathom which of the different races are more athletic will pose a very big question, this is because both blacks and whites have been able to reach various standings in the world of football, but then there are some basic points to be answered while considering the answers to this question.
- Do black people have more strength?
This question is of essence in football, many people will eventually render a straight answer considering what we’ve been seeing in football over years. Yes! It’s easily seen that both races have players with massive strength if I say straight that blacks have more strength, then, what of the likes of Arturo Vidal, Mason Mount, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Frank Lampard, Arjen Robben, Frank Ribery, Kompany, Vidic, John Terry, Barry, Modric, and many other innumerable players. Well, I’d not stop at this point, modern football requires a lot of physicalities especially in the defensive midfield. You can hardly find a good coach who has a clear understanding of modern football who would play without recruiting black, intelligent midfielders into his team, Jose Mourinho, Thomas Tuchel, Klopp, Guardiola, and Pochettino know how to do this, definitely, we can see what they are doing with Pogba, Ngolo Kante, Fernandinho, Gana, Keita, Mane and other black players in their commands, black players are seen as the engine room of various teams, they make football easier for others by providing that energetic infusion that commands ease of movement of ball around the team command. Skysports makes a steady report of players that have etched their names in the history of football and athletes of various other sports.
2. Do black people have longer playing careers?
Well, this is definitely a big problem to answer, we’ve seen many back players used extremely in their various teams till their careers become plunged with injuries and early fatigue, some of them still fight hard on, can you see what Demba Ba did with his injury? Well, he’s back strong as though he never went out injured. Drogba, Eto’O. Mikel Obi, and other black players had a long playing career, but can we compare them to the long-lasting career that Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ramos, Puyol, and Lionel Messi are having, well, remember that Iniesta is still a footballer, not only are they still playing but they are still outstanding in what they do, they’ve been able to maintain vigor and strength of play even with the run of years. This is where the issue comes, only a few African players play good football across the age of 34-35, others are motivated by pecuniary benefits while verily wearing out before an age exceeding thirty.
3. Are black people more flexible and Racy?
If it was in a racing game, I’d have said that black people are better at this, we’ve great black racers like Usain Bolt, Osaka, Blessing Okagbere, etc, we’ve great basketballers like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryan. well, we’ll also have to respect the fact that the greatest dribblers that have existed in football are black-skinned, Quaresma, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Neymar Jr. Sane, Pele while also commending the abilities of white players like Eden Hazard, Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, and other intelligent players who have been able to represent in dribbles and flexible body movements.
- Are Black People more athletic?
The explanations above will warrant the conclusion here, sports has provided a platform for both races to show the stuff they are made of, funny enough being athletic does not transcend to the feats to their names, probably why Africans have not been able to lift the world cup, but it’s imperative to consider that while Brazil, Italy, and France have been able to clinch same, most of these teams were represented are blacks, there is no aspect of sports that blacks are not taking the center stage with their physical power, strength, agility and prowess, they are very athletic to the extent that they do not mind their limitations, blacks are more athletic.
