Barcelona not worried by Chelsea’s interest in Pablo Martín Páez Gavira,
While the transfer window slowly gets close, speculations have been the order of the day.
Over the past two weeks, the media has been thronged with various rumours surrounding the future of young Spanish and Barcelona Midfielder Gavi.
The 17 years old mid-fielder is highly recommended by top-tier pundits and football analysts. Gavi has been standing tall for his terrific movement of the ball with confidence and his vision in distributing passes around the midfield.
With the arrival of Xavier Hernández Creus, known as Xavi back to the Camp Nou, chances for the young Spaniard have been short and in the entrails of intense debate. The future of the young midfielder has again and again reconsidered.
Thomas Tuchel knows the worth of this young midfielder and swiftly made a move for him. The young midfielder who was born on the 5th day of August 2004 has not made any comment directly or through his representatives that he would make a move away from Spain. While Chelsea may not have also made a comment concerning same, we do know the important place of speculations and possibilities in football. Barcelona is said to be already close to knotting a new agreement with the Spaniard to put pen to paper on a five years deal. This deal would make him contractually committed to the club until 2026. It would come with improved terms. Negotiations are already ongoing.
Gerard Piqué had earlier on likened the pear of Pedri and Gavi as being on the same page as Iniesta and Xavi. That would be something for Barcelona’s new manager Xavi to determine.
It’s to be known that Chelsea is highly interested on a good midfielder to replace some of the existing ones whose abilities have become doubtful. They are meticulous in getting a young and good midfielder.
Chelsea may still be interested in pulling the nuts a little harder. A rare talent like Gavi isn’t something to pursue softly, Roman Abramovic and Thomas Tuchel admire him highly and would still want to have him in the Chelsea team.
